During a working visit to Berlin, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal met with Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz. The parties discussed support for Ukraine, as well as Russian threats and blackmail.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In the course of the meeting, Shmyhal thanked the German side for providing support to Ukraine. The first IRIS-T system received by the Armed Forces of Ukraine has proven to be extremely effective, protecting the Ukrainian sky and saving many lives.

“We also spoke of the extremely important issue – the situation at Zaporizhzhia NPP and Kakhovka HPP. Russian terrorists continue to threaten and blackmail. We urge partners to respond to such statements decisively in order to prevent a potential disaster,” Shmyhal stressed.

In addition, the parties discussed Ukraine’s reconstruction and the key aspects of cooperation.

Shmyhal also expressed gratitude to Scholz for his personal initiative in holding the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Berlin.
