Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk and Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi have met in Croatia and discussed the supply of weapons for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The relevant statement was made by Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“An extremely important meeting with Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi. The meeting where I once again heard about absolute solidarity with Ukraine. And the recent massive attacks by Iranian kamikaze drones have further strengthened the desire of the United States to support Ukraine,” Stefanchuk wrote.

In his words, Ukraine is now the defender of the entire civilized world. Ukraine must win, otherwise this world will lose, and the United States stands alongside the Ukrainian people in their struggle for freedom and their land.

“I sincerely thank Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi for the comprehensive and continuous support for our state,” Stefanchuk stressed.

However, the war is not yet over, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine need weapons, Stefanchuk emphasized, adding that they also discussed that issue with Pelosi.

A reminder that Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk is paying a visit to Croatia, where the first Crimea Platform Parliamentary Summit will take place on October 25, 2022.
