Next year will be decisive in bringing Russia’s war criminals to justice - Danilov
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov has said that 2023 will be a decisive year in bringing to justice Russia’s war criminals, including Russia's top military and political leadership.
He said this during a nationwide telethon on Ukrainian TV channels, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Not only Putin, but everyone. Everyone who raised a hand, who pushed the buttons in their minds, who sent Russians to die in Ukraine – they will be held accountable. It is only a matter of time. As I have already realized, a short time. I am more than convinced that 2023 will be decisive for all these things," Danilov said.
He assured that all Russian war criminals will be held accountable according to the law, in particular, on the territory of Ukraine, according to the Ukrainian legislation.
As reported by Ukrinform, on September 22, President Volodymyr Zelensky set up a working group, headed by President's Office Head Andriy Yermak, on the creation of a special international tribunal to bring to justice those guilty of aggression against Ukraine.
