Zelensky thanks Germany for air defense systems

In a phone call with Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked Germany for the air defense systems and emphasized the need to build an air shield over Ukraine.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Twitter, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Had a call with Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz. Informed about missile terror by RF. Grateful to Germany for the air defense provided. We must build an air shield over Ukraine,” Zelensky wrote.

The President of Ukraine also stressed the importance of implementing the Grain Initiative.

“We must not allow the world to be blackmailed with hunger,” Zelensky added.

A reminder that earlier Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed gratitude to everyone taking to the streets and squares of European cities in order to show support for Ukraine in its fight against the Russian aggression.
