Giving stage to Putin compromises G20 - MFA Ukraine

Russia, which seeks to achieve its goals through death and destruction, adds no value to the G20.

This was stated by the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Oleg Nikolenko, Ukrinform reports, referring to his tweet.

"What is the added value of keeping Russia in the G20? It doesn’t contribute to global economic growth, or promote peaceful coexistence and prosperity. Russia’s foreign policy seeks to achieve its goals using death and destruction. Giving the stage to Putin only compromises G20," the spokesman tweeted.

As reported earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine demanded that Russia be kicked out of the G20 after Vladimir Putin recognized he had ordered his forces to launch missile strikes on Ukraine's infrastructure. Ukrainian diplomats also called for revoking Putin’s invitation to the Bali summit.

Since October 10, Russia has been massively attacking energy infrastructure facilities across Ukraine, launching missiles and swarms of one-way attack drones.

In the latest massive strike, more than 50 missiles were fired, of which Ukraine’s air defenses downed 44.

Millions of household consumers and multiple enterprises have faced rolling blackouts due to destruction inflicted on energy infrastructure facilities across Ukraine.

Efforts to restore supplies are complicated by the need to import costly equipment. So far, at least 12 countries have agreed to supply or sell such equipment to Ukraine, according to Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.
