Zelensky, Scholz discuss situation on battlefield, Russian attacks on civilians

In a phone call, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky briefed Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz on the situation on the battlefield and thanked Germany for its contribution to the defense of the Ukrainian sky and borders.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Twitter, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Had a phone call with Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz. Informed about the course of hostilities, new RF’s strikes on civilians,” Zelensky wrote.

Additionally, the parties expressed support for the continuation of the Black Sea Grain Initiative and agreed on positions on the eve of the G20 Summit.
