Shmyhal, Morawiecki discuss Russian massive missile attack, affecting border areas

In a phone call, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki discussed Russia’s recent massive missile attack on Ukraine, which had also affected the border area of Poland.

The relevant statement was made by Secretary of State at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of Poland and Government Spokesman Piotr Müller on Twitter, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Prime Minister [of Poland] Mateusz Morawiecki spoke to [Prime Minister of Ukraine] Denys Shmyhal. The Prime Minister of Ukraine briefed on Russia’s massive missile attack on Ukraine, which took place yesterday: Russia used about 80 missiles, and many of them hit the areas bordering with Poland,” Müller wrote.

A reminder that, on November 15, 2022, two people were killed in the explosion, which occurred in Poland’s village of Przewodów, Hrubieszów County, Lublin Voivodeship, situated not far from the border with Ukraine. The incident took place near a grain drying plant around 03:40 p.m. (local time).

Later, Warsaw confirmed that it was the Russian-made missile that had fallen and caused an explosion. Polish and international experts are now probing the circumstances of the tragic event.
