Kuleba, Swedish, Danish foreign ministers discuss support for Ukraine, sanctions against Russia
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has held meetings with his Swedish and Danish counterparts Tobias Billstrom and Jeppe Kofod in Bucharest to discuss support for Ukraine and the strengthening of sanctions against Russia.
Kuleba said this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.
"Focused and friendly meeting with Swedish Foreign Minister Tobias Billstrom — now in Bucharest. We agreed that sanctions pressure on Russia must be stepped up and discussed in detail the next EU sanctions package," he wrote.
In addition, the ministers focused on ways to speed up Ukraine's accession to the EU.
"In two years of our joint work with my Danish counterpart Jeppe Kofod, we have navigated through many crises and became real friends. In today's meeting, we discussed Denmark's steadfast and lasting support for Ukraine, as well as efforts to implement [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelensky's peace formula," Kuleba tweeted.
