Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and Prime Minister of Moldova Natalia Gavrilița agreed on the cooperation of the countries in air defense and border control improvement.

"I am grateful to Prime Minister of Moldova Natalia Gavrilița for the visit. Constant communication between Moldova and Ukraine makes us stronger... We agreed to cooperate in matters of air defense, improve border control, and support cooperation and dialogue on peace and security in the Transnistrian region of Moldova," Shmyhal posted on Telegram.

He also added that a number of important agreements were reached during the meeting with his colleague. In particular, Ukraine and Moldova will continue to remove administrative and procedural barriers for the free movement of people and goods; expect to sign an agreement on the construction of a road bridge across the Dniester River on the common border by the middle of 2023; activate the Ukraine-Moldova-Romania dialogue format; create a bilateral working group to coordinate the integration of Ukraine and Moldova into the EU.

Shmyhal emphasized that Moldova, like Ukraine, knows what the "friendly embrace of the Russian world" is, and today the Moldovan people also feel the consequences of Russia's war against our country.

“The peaceful future of Ukraine and Moldova depends on the victory over the Russian aggressor, and we are doing everything possible for this,” the Head of the Government of Ukraine underscored.

As reported, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Moldova stated that a fallen missile was found near the town of Briceni on December 5.
