VR Chairman, Speaker of Lithuania’s Seimas, Marshal of Poland’s Senate discuss Russian armed aggression

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk has participated in a session of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania and the Senate of the Republic of Poland.

The relevant statement was made by Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Together with my colleagues, Speaker of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen and Marshal of the Senate of the Republic of Poland Tomasz Grodzki, we are talking about Ukraine,” Stefanchuk wrote.

In particular, the parties discussed Russian armed aggression and expressed solidarity with Ukraine.

Additionally, during the session, Stefanchuk and his counterparts spoke with U.S. House Committee on Foreign Affairs Chairman Robert Kelly Menendez.

“Today Russia has significantly intensified terrorist missile and air attacks on Ukrainian peaceful settlements, critical energy infrastructure objects. They are attempting to break our resistance, use frosts as a weapon against Ukrainians. Hence, there is an urgent issue of strengthening our anti-aircraft and anti-missile defense capabilities,” Stefanchuk stressed.

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine thanked the United States, Poland and Lithuania for their comprehensive support, solidarity and commitment to common values.

A reminder that Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk is paying a working visit to the Republic of Lithuania.
