Blood-stained package arrives at Ukraine’s Embassy in Greece - MFA
Greece’s police have opened an investigation after an anonymous package, drenched in blood, arrived this morning at the address of Ukraine’s Embassy in Athens.
This was announced on Facebook by the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Oleg Nikolenko, Ukrinform reports.
"This morning, a blood-stained package arrived at the Embassy of Ukraine in Greece. The address of the sender is the same as on the rest of the envelopes that were previously sent to Ukrainian embassies and consulates: the Tesla car dealership in the German town of Sindelfingen. The Greek police have launched an investigation," Nikolenko wrote.
He added that the Ukrainian side also expects that the German law enforcement accelerate their probe.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed that a total of 33 cases of threats have already been recorded targeting Ukrainian diplomatic institutions in 17 countries: an attempted terrorist attack, two bomb threats, a vandalism case, a case of a written threat, and 28 blood-stained packages.
"As (Foreign Minister - ed.) Dmytro Kuleba said, no matter how hard the enemies try to intimidate Ukrainian diplomacy, they will not succeed. We are working toward our victory," Nikolenko emphasized.
As reported, on November 30, the Spanish media reported the explosion at the Ukrainian embassy in Madrid. The commandant of the Embassy suffered minor injuries, while the rest of the employees were not injured. After that, blood-stained envelopes containing animal eyes began to arrive at Ukrainian embassies and consulates.
