Weapons, funding, sanctions: Shmyhal on working visit to France
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal of Ukraine, together with First Lady Olena Zelenska and government officials, has arrived on a working visit to France.
He wrote about this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"We are working in France together with the First Lady of Ukraine and the government team. Weapons, funding, and sanctions are key components for supporting our state," Shmyhal noted.
According to the prime minister, today Ukraine needs more modern air defense and missile defense systems that will save people and infrastructure.
"We will also talk about the restoration of Ukraine’s energy system and the initiation of cooperation with France in various fields," added the government chief.
Ahead of the Conference in support of civil stability in Ukraine in the winter period, he spoke about the situation in the country with the French TV channel LCI-TF1.
Embracing the opportunity, Shmyhal thanked President Emmanuel Macron for the initiative of holding an international conference, which will help consolidate support for Ukraine.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, one of France’s major manifestations of support for Ukraine was the "Ship for Ukraine" initiative where 1,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid was delivered from Marseille.
