Estonia promises to support Ukraine till victory
Estonia will support Ukraine in its fight against Russia till the victory in the war.
"Estonia will support Ukraine as long as it takes to win Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine," President of Estonia Alar Karis said during a meeting with First Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksandr Kornienko, Ukrinform reports with reference to the press service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
According to him, the aggressor cannot be allowed to undermine the basic principles of the international order or dictate new ones.
"The future of the European security architecture depends on our today’s decision. Russia must bear full responsibility for its crimes of aggression," the President of Estonia emphasized.
He also reported that Estonia sent generators, warm clothes, food kits, and various power supply systems to Ukraine – everything needed to survive the winter and win the war: "Our current military aid to Ukraine is more than 255 million euros."
Kornienko thanked for the help. "We not only feel, but also see how Estonia stands with us with its decisions, support, and help," he said.
Also, the First Deputy Speaker said that now it is worth focusing on the restoration of objects critical to people's lives, Fast Recovery, a plan for the rapid reconstruction of social infrastructure, and passing the winter period, and invited Estonia to take an active part in this process.
As reported, Kornienko leads the Ukrainian delegation on a working visit to the Republic of Estonia on December 15-17.
