Ukrainian president appoints ambassadors to Argentina, Nigeria

President Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed Yurii Klymenko as Ukraine's ambassador to Argentina and Ivan Kholostenko as Ukraine's ambassador to Nigeria.

The decrees to that effect have been published on the website of the head of state, Ukrinform reports.

In accordance with Decree No. 888/2022, the president appointed Klymenko as Ukraine's ambassador to Argentina, having previously dismissed him as Ukraine's special representative for the Transnistrian settlement.

By Decree No. 889/2022, Kholostenko was appointed Ukraine's ambassador to Nigeria.

Zelensky earlier said that next year Ukraine plans to open new embassies in ten African countries and a Ukraine-Africa trade house with representative offices in the capitals of the most promising countries on the African continent.
