Ukrainian president delivers annual address to parliament

President Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday delivered his annual address to the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament.

MP Yaroslav Zhelezniak said this in a post on the messaging app Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Today, the parliament gathered for its last meeting of the year. The president's address to the Verkhovna Rada about Ukraine's internal and external situation was heard at the meeting," he wrote.

According to him, representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers, Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, foreign diplomats, military personnel and family members of fallen heroes were present at the parliament session.

Zhelezniak clarified that the president's speech lasted 52 minutes.

After the speech, the military were presented with awards.
