Zelensky meets with French defense minister

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky discussed with Minister of the Armed Forces of France Sébastien Lecornu further steps to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities with the support of France.

“I had a meeting with Minister of the Armed Forces of France Sébastien Lecornu. I spoke about the security situation at the front and Ukraine's defense needs. We discussed further steps to strengthen the defense capabilities of our country with the support of France,” Zelensky wrote on Telegram.

He thanked France for the already provided military assistance aimed at protecting the Ukrainian sky and strengthening the capabilities of the defense forces.

As reported, Minister of the Armed Forces of France Sébastien Lecornu arrived in Kyiv on Wednesday, December 28.
