Zelensky confirms he stripped Medvedchuk, Kozak, Kuzmin, Derkach of Ukrainian citizenship
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that he stripped Viktor Medvedchuk, Taras Kozak, Renat Kuzmin and Andrii Derkach of their Ukrainian citizenship.
He said this in a new video address, Ukrinform reports.
"On the basis of the materials prepared by the Security Service of Ukraine and the State Migration Service of Ukraine and in accordance with the Constitution of our country, I made a decision to terminate the citizenship of four persons: Andrii Leonidovych Derkach, Taras Romanovych Kozak, Renat Raveliiovych Kuzmin and Viktor Volodymyrovych Medvedchuk," Zelensky said.
He also added that "if people's deputies choose to serve not the people of Ukraine, but the murderers who came to Ukraine, then our actions will be appropriate."
According to him, these are not the last such decisions, and the services are working.
Earlier media reports said that Zelensky had stripped Viktor Medvedchuk, Taras Kozak and Renat Kuzmin -- Ukrainian MPs from the former Opposition Platform – For Life party -- and former MP Andrii Derkach of their Ukrainian citizenship.
