Kuleba, China’s top diplomat discuss initiatives aimed at restoring peace in Ukraine
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba and China’s senior diplomat Wang Yi have met on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.
Kuleba wrote on Twitter that during the meeting, he emphasized that all initiatives aimed at restoring peace in Ukraine need to be based on the principle of territorial integrity of states enshrined in the UN Charter.
“I appreciate the opportunity to exchange views with State Councilor Wang Yi. We agree that the fundamental UN Charter principle of territorial integrity is sacred for both of our states. I reiterated that all initiatives aimed at restoring peace in Ukraine need to be based on it,” Kuleba wrote.
As Ukrinform reported, Wang Yi earlier stated that China supports the territorial integrity of Ukraine and calls for peace negotiations to resolve the "conflict between Kyiv and Moscow.” According to him, as the anniversary of the war approaches, China will release a document on its position regarding the Ukrainian issue.
