President of Ukraine, FM of Saudi Arabia hold meeting in Kyiv

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has met with Saudi Arabian Foreign Affairs Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud in Kyiv.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to Zelensky, it is the first official visit by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Ukraine since the two countries established diplomatic relations.

“I expect that it will provide a new impetus to further intensification of our mutually beneficial dialogue. Thank you for supporting peace in Ukraine, our sovereignty and territorial integrity! This is very important for us and our society,” the President of Ukraine noted.

The Office of the President of Ukraine mentioned that, during negotiations, the parties emphasized the importance of Saudi Arabia’s support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, in particular within the UN, as well as paid special attention to the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula.
