Ukraine, Latvia Presidents and First Ladies commemorate fallen heroes in Lviv
In Lviv, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska, together with President of Latvia Egils Levits and his wife Andra Levite, honored the memory of Ukrainian warriors fallen during the war.
This was reported by the Ukrainian president’s press service, according to Ukrinform.
“The Heads of State and First Ladies laid flowers at the graves of Ukrainian defenders at the Field of Honor at Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv,” the report says.
President of Ukraine Zelensky published a video from the commemoration ceremony on Telegram.
“We will never forget the defenders who gave lives for our freedom and independence. We remember the horrific price our people pay for a free and peaceful future. Eternal memory and glory to our warriors!” Zelensky wrote.
As reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky is on a working trip to Lviv.
