Zelensky meets with Germany’s Social Democratic Party leaders
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with leaders of the Social Democratic Party of Germany Lars Klingbeil and Rolf Mützenich and expressed his gratitude to Germany for the comprehensive support.
“I held a meeting with the leaders of the Social Democratic Party of Germany Lars Klingbeil and Rolf Mützenich. I am grateful to Germany for its comprehensive support for our country since the first days of full-scale Russian aggression,” Zelensky posted on Telegram.
The President also thanked Germany for sheltering more than a million forcibly displaced persons from Ukraine, for leading the formation of the tank coalition by providing German Leopard tanks, and for contributing to the protection of Ukrainian skies by transferring the highly effective IRIS-T air defense system.
“It is important to further strengthen our alliance relations,” he stressed.
As reported, co-leader of the Social Democratic Party of Germany Lars Klingbeil and SPD faction leader in the Bundestag Rolf Mützenich arrived in Kyiv on March 6.
