Danilov on Lukashenko's statements: "Hysteria" expanding in Belarus, Russia
The behavior and unacceptable statements by Belarus dictator Alexander Lukashenko testify to the hysteria growing in both Belarus and Russia. As they realize it is impossible to defeat Ukraine on the battlefield, they try to promote “Plan B” in an attempt to strike a truce deal similar to the Minsk Agreement.
That’s according to Oleksiy Danilov, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, who voiced his opinion on the air of the national telethon on Tuesday.
"What he said was absolutely politically incorrect in relation to our president. In general, Lukashenko's behavior starts to surprise me at times. We’ll see how things unfold. We are ready for any developments. This is our country and we will defend it no matter what anyone says or thinks of someone starting to support or strengthen someone. We understand where all this is heading, and today it’s only a matter of time before we will achieve our victory," Danilov stressed.
According to the official, it’s not only Lukashenko who is apparently nervous but also many in Russia. “They don't know what to do or how to deal with the issues that they thought they could resolve very quickly,” Danilov noted. He added that every day, the problems are mounting for Russia and Belarus, so preparations for “Plan B” are already underway.
"Today, the hysteria that exists in Belarus is increasing and it will only intensify further on. We must be ready for this and understand that the enemy, I emphasize once again, sees that they are unable to resolve the issue by military means, so they will opt for the so-called Plan B, which is already starting to unfold. We are getting more and more information about this every day. We are aware of this plan; it is clear who is to execute it, while preparatory work is already underway. Everything points to assuming that they no longer have any hope that they can solve the issue of taking over our country by force," Danilov said.
The NSDC secretary also noted that any proposals, such as the so-called Minsk-3 deal, would absolutely unacceptable for Ukrainian society.
"I can say that everything related to Minsk-3 is absolutely unacceptable for our society. Today, 95-97% of our population believe in the victory of our Armed Forces – they realize this will actually happen," the NSDC secretary emphasized.
He is convinced that returning to Ukraine "Russia’s influence” or reviving any political projects won’t be allowed by the Ukrainians as it would disrespect the memory of the fallen defenders of Ukraine.
Also, he emphasized once again that Russia is a terrorist state, so no government should negotiate with terrorists.
"We cannot agree on anything with terrorists. This is a terrorist state that must be held accountable," Danilov stressed, adding that the talks could only be about the international tribunal and accountability for the Putin regime.
As reported earlier, Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko said he considered the damage to the A-50 radar aircraft at the Machulischi airfield as an act of "sabotage" and that Ukraine “challenged” Belarus.
