President Zelensky: All the aid given to Ukraine is investment in global peace
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky believes that all the aid given to Ukraine is an investment in global peace and, with international support, Ukraine can defeat Russia as soon as this year.
The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in his video address to the participants in the American Enterprise Institute World Forum, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Our brave soldiers have already made it so that the Russian army seizes to be a global threat just in front of our eyes. And we have to get this job done. It is possible to do it this year. The right of men and women to be happy and live their lives must prevail. The sanctity of the family must prevail, not some tyrannical empire. The opportunity to give future to children, not to some invasive doctrine. Freedom must win,” Zelensky noted.
He emphasized that every day Ukraine loses its sons and daughters in the war that Ukraine did not start. These are people who could be artists, politicians, journalists, scientists or diplomats but, instead, became warriors.
“Anyone but to be alive, if not for Russia. Thousands of Ukrainian lives were ruined by this criminal war. Whole families die from Russian artillery strikes, missiles and deadly Iranian drones. […] We all want our sons and our daughters to choose the way in life they dream of. God forbid that this should be the way of such a war,” the President of Ukraine stressed.
Zelensky thanked the American people for all the support provided.
“I met with representatives of both parties of Congress, both Houses, with President Biden, his team, I met in Washington, in Kyiv, and I am sure that America will not betray freedom. The world has something to rely on,” Zelensky concluded.
