Secretary General of Council of Europe arrives in Ukraine

Secretary General of the Council of Europe Marija Pejčinović Burić arrived in Ukraine on a visit.

“Pleased to welcome Secretary General of the Council of Europe Marija Pejčinović Burić in Kyiv. Thanked for CoE’s initiative to establish the Registry of Damages caused by Russian aggression,” First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine Dzheppar posted on Twitter.

As the first deputy minister noted, further steps needed to restore justice and hold Russian war criminals accountable were discussed with Pejčinović Burić.

On the anniversary of the de-occupation of Bucha and Irpin, Secretary General of the Council of Europe Marija Pejčinović Burić emphasized that those guilty of crimes against the civilian population must be brought to justice.
