Lithuanian National Defence Minister Arvydas Anušauskas has paid a visit to the city of Kharkiv.
The relevant statement was made by Lithuanian National Defence Minister Arvydas Anušauskas on Twitter, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Kharkiv. Intensive meetings, conversations with the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksii Reznikov, head of the Kharkiv garrison and Brigadier General Serhii Melnyk, head of Kharkiv military administration Oleh Siniehubov and mayor Ihor Terekhov,” Anušauskas wrote, having posted the photographs.
In addition, Anušauskas mentioned that Lithuania will stand with Ukraine “till the victory”.
Reznikov also commented on his meeting with the Lithuanian colleague.
“I was glad to host my brave friend and colleague, Arvydas Anušauskas, in Kharkiv and its suburbs. Our second largest city lives only 40 km from the border with the terrorist state. Lives under fire,” Reznikov noted.
In his words, with such friends as Lithuania, Ukraine will restore peace and rebuild its cities.
A reminder that, as part of the new military aid package, Lithuania will send 155mm ammunition to Ukraine.
