President Zelensky meets with bipartisan delegation of the U.S. Senate

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has held a meeting with the bipartisan delegation of the Senate of the United States Congress, including Joseph Manchin, Lisa Murkowski and Mark Kelly.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

The President of Ukraine briefed the U.S. delegation members on the situation on the battlefield and shared assessments of the prospects for its development.

The parties discussed further directions of assistance from the United States and the role of the Congress in this regard.

“We are fighting for common values – freedom and democracy. Our victory will be decisive for the development of the situation in Europe and throughout the world. Continuation of such comprehensive support – defense and financial – is the guarantee of our victory over the aggressor,” Zelensky wrote.

The President of Ukraine thanked the U.S. delegation members for their visit to Ukraine. In his words, this is an important signal of support for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.
