Zelensky holds meeting on European integration

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky met with government officials and lawmakers to discuss crucial issues of Ukraine's European integration.

President Zelensky spoke of this in a video address, Ukrinform reports.

"I met with government officials and representatives of the Verkhovna Rada to discuss some of our steps toward the European Union, legislative moves, and the implementation of the adopted changes," president said.

He emphasized that the goal of the Ukrainian state is entirely achievable, that Ukraine will be integrated with all the institutions and practices of the European Union and become a full member. 

"We are fully prepared," Zelensky said.

As reported, in June 2022, the European Council approved Ukraine's application as a candidate for membership in the European Union.

Nowadays, Ukraine has already fulfilled more than 70% of commitments undertaken within the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement.
