Ukraine’s new ambassador to Latvia hands credentials to MFA

On Wednesday, April 19, the newly appointed Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Latvia, Anatoliy Kutsevol, presented his credentials to the Head of the State Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia, Raimonds Jansons.

This was reported by the press service of Ukraine’s Embassy, Ukrinform saw.

"The Ambassador of Ukraine expressed gratitude to the Latvian side for Latvia's principled position on condemning Russian aggression against Ukraine and supporting the territorial integrity of our country. The ambassador also thanked Latvia for its ongoing effective assistance to Ukraine during the full-scale invasion of our country by the aggressor state, Russia," the statement said.

For his part, Raimonds Jansons welcomed Anatoliy Kutsevol to Latvia as Ambassador of Ukraine and emphasized that Latvia would continue to help Ukraine until the final victory over Russia, and support the embattled nation both bilaterally and at the EU level.

As reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Latvia by his decree of December 23, 2022.
