Biden, Macron discuss Russia's aggression in Europe, support for Ukraine

U.S. President Joe Biden and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron in a phone call on Thursday raised the issue of Russia's aggression in Europe and support for Ukraine.

That's according to a readout of their call published on the White House website, Ukrinform reports.

"The Presidents also reiterated their steadfast support for Ukraine in the face of Russia's brutal aggression," the readout reads.

The two leaders discussed President Macron's recent travel to China and their ongoing efforts to advance prosperity, security, shared values, and the rules-based international order in the Indo-Pacific region.

In addition, Biden and Macron reaffirmed the importance of maintaining peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait.
