Ukraine terminates another agreement with CIS countries on social payments
Ukraine has withdrawn from the agreement on guarantees of citizens' rights in the field of social assistance, compensation payments to families with children and alimony.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Telegram by the Permanent Representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk.
"We have withdrawn from the agreement on guarantees of the rights of citizens in the field of social assistance, compensation payments to families with children and alimony, signed on 09.09.1994 in Moscow, which was concluded within the CIS," the statement reads.
Article 15 of this agreement, in particular, stipulates that the social rights of citizens (who have children) arising in accordance with the provisions of this agreement do not lose their force in the event of the withdrawal of any party from the agreement.
As reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky signed Decree No. 158/2023 on Ukraine's withdrawal from the Agreement on the Procedure for Pension Provision and State Insurance for Employees of Internal Affairs Agencies of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
Earlier this week, it became known that Ukraine had withdrawn from the Protocol to the Agreement and the Protocol on the Procedure for the Application of the Agreement on State Social Assistance to the Families of Servicemen and Women Who Died in Afghanistan and Other States.
