Meloni: Putting money in Ukraine now is not a risk, but an investment

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has said that putting money in Ukraine now is not a risk, but a far-sighted investment.

She stated this in Rome when delivering a joint statement to the press together with Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"The reconstruction of Ukraine is a matter for all of Europe. I want to say to the entrepreneurs whom I have already met here, and I have already talked to them about this: I believe that investing in Ukraine today is not a risk, it is one of the most far-sighted investments that can be made today," said Meloni.

She noted that the issue of reconstructing Ukraine's critical infrastructure and strategic sectors of the economy is very important today.

"I repeat once again: to talk about the reconstruction of Ukraine means to take as a given that Ukraine will win, and that our future is connected with the future of Ukraine, that it is peaceful, and that Ukraine will prosper together with us," said the Prime Minister of Italy.

Meloni assured that Italy will always support the struggle for freedom, will continue to provide Ukraine with all the necessary assistance and will continue to support President Zelensky's ten-point peace plan.
