PM Shmyhal, Cardinal Parolin discuss Ukrainian peace formula in the Vatican

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and Secretary of State of the Holy See, Cardinal Pietro Parolin have met in the Vatican and discussed the Peace Formula proposed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on Twitter, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“We had a meeting with the Secretary of State of the Holy See, Cardinal Pietro Parolin. Discussed the areas of bilateral cooperation and peace formula of the President of Ukraine. The steps proposed by Ukraine aim to end the war once and for all,” Shmyhal wrote.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine also thanked the Vatican for its efforts to establish peace.

A reminder that Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal is paying a working visit to the Italian Republic. As part of the visit, Shmyhal held a meeting with Pope Francis in the Vatican.
