Ukrainian prosecutor general meets with Europol executive director, discusses JIT work

Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andriy Kostin met with Executive Director of Europol Catherine De Boll to discuss the involvement of this organization in the work of the Joint Investigative Team (JIT).

The press service of the Prosecutor General's Office wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

“Being in The Hague, Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin met with Executive Director of Europol Catherine De Boll. They discussed the involvement of this law enforcement agency in the work of the Joint Investigative Team (JIT),” the Prosecutor General’s Office said.

It is noted that Europol is the leading EU agency for law enforcement cooperation.

“Its vast expertise will be invaluable for investigating Russia’s international crimes,” Kostin said.

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, Europol has already analyzed more than 7,000 photo and video files, identified 150 individuals involved in the commission of crimes during Russia’s war against Ukraine.

As reported, to date, more than 80,000 war crimes committed by the Russian Federation in Ukraine have been recorded.
