Zelenska, Shmyhal at Westminster Abbey at Charles III coronation ceremony
First Lady Olena Zelenska and Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal of Ukraine are attending the coronation ceremony of Charles III at Westminster Abbey in London.
That’s according to Zelenska’s posting on Facebook, Ukrinform reports
The President's spouse noted that it was an honor for her and the prime minister to be present at the coronation of Charles and Camilla today, to wish Great Britain a successful reign and prosperity on behalf of Ukraine.
According to Zelenska, the peoples of Ukraine and Great Britain have common values: life, freedom, and democracy.
"May they become a sign of the era of your majesties both for the United Kingdom and for us," the first lady wished.
Zelenska emphasized that she appreciates the words and position of King Charles III that Britain, together with Ukraine, defends freedom and sovereignty against unprovoked aggression. She noted that Ukraine immediately found in him consistent support and understanding.
As Ukrinform reported, the ceremony of coronation of King Charles III is taking place on May 6 in Westminster Abbey in London.
