Ukraine's first lady, South Korea's president discuss need for air defense systems
Ukraine's First Lady Olena Zelenska and South Korea's President Yoon Suk Yeol have discussed the need for air defense systems and equipment for demining.
Zelenska reported this on her Facebook page, according to Ukrinform.
"I started my visit to the Republic of Korea for the Asian Leadership Conference with a meeting with the country's president, Yoon Suk Yeol," Zelenska said.
The first lady thanked South Korea for supporting the peace formula of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky - its points became the basis of the "Principles of the Charter of the United Nations underlying a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in Ukraine," recently adopted by the General Assembly with the active participation of the Republic of Korea.
"Nowadays we also need help with the technologies that the country is famous for. Together with the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko, and Deputy Head of the Office of the President Rostyslav Shurma, we discussed with the President the need for air defense systems to stop the missile terrorism of the aggressor country. We also need means to demine the traps that Russia left behind on our territory, and medical equipment to save those whom the attackers managed to injure," Zelenska stressed.
She said she appreciates the fact that Korea is ready to defend international law together with Ukraine.
