Expansion of air traffic: Ukraine reminds Georgia reasons behind Russia’s isolation
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has reminded Georgia, which is expanding direct flights with the Russian Federation, that the world is isolating Russia in order to force them to end their war against Ukraine.
This is stated by MFA spokesman Oleg Nikolenko via Twitter, Ukrinform reports.
"The world is isolating Russia in order to force it to end the war, while Georgia welcomes Russian air carriers and sends its own to Moscow. At the same time, 20% of the territory of Georgia remains occupied by Russia. The Kremlin will likely be delighted with such a result," said Nikolenko.
As reported earlier, Georgia’s Deputy Minister of Economy Mariam Kvrivishvili said Russian air carriers and aircraft, which are not subject to sanctions, will be able to fly direct to Georgia.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed decrees on canceling visas for citizens of Georgia and allowing direct flights with this country.
