Zelensky meets with Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia
President Volodymyr Zelensky has met with Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.
During the meeting, the parties discussed in detail the current bilateral relations and global issues, the President’s Office informs.
Zelensky informed the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia about the security situation in Ukraine and the counteraction to the Russian aggressor.
He also spoke about the main elements of the Ukrainian peace initiative – the Peace Formula aimed at stopping the war and restoring peace.
The Head of State praised the successful participation of Saudi Arabia in the return of 10 foreign prisoners of war from Russian captivity and expressed interest in continuing joint efforts to release the captives.
The President thanked the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia for supporting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, for his principled position within international organizations, and for the invitation to participate in the Arab League Summit as an honored guest.
As the President’s Office informs, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia confirmed interest in investing in Ukraine and rebuilding our country.
Volodymyr Zelensky invited Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud to pay a visit to Ukraine.
As reported, President Zelensky is visiting Saudi Arabia on May 19, where he plans to discuss the return of Ukrainians from Russian captivity, the peace formula, the issue of energy security, and the protection of the Muslim community of Ukraine.
