Zelensky, Scholz coordinate positions prior to G7 Summit session
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz have coordinated positions prior to the G7 Summit session in Japan’s Hiroshima.
The relevant statement was made by the Office of the President of Ukraine, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“As part of the working visit to Japan in order to participate in the Group of Seven (G7) Summit, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz,” the report states.
The two leaders discussed the first results of the visit paid by the President of Ukraine to Germany on May 13, 2023. Zelensky expressed gratitude to Germany for the powerful defense assistance provided to Ukraine.
President Zelensky noted the importance of implementing the clauses of the Ukrainian Peace Formula.
“The Head of State and the Chancellor of Germany coordinated positions prior to the G7 Summit session,” the Office of the President of Ukraine added.
A reminder that, on May 20, 2023, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Japan’s Hiroshima to attend the G7 Summit in person.
