NATO Parliamentary Assembly recognizes Russia's crimes against Ukraine as genocide

The NATO Parliamentary Assembly has recognized Russia’s crimes against Ukraine as genocide, and the terrorist regime in the Russian Federation as ruscism.

Head of the Ukrainian delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Yegor Chernev announced this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"The NATO Parliamentary Assembly has recognized Russia's crimes against Ukraine as genocide, and the terrorist regime in the Russian Federation as ruscism. Unanimously," Chernev wrote.

According to him, the NATO Parliamentary Assembly also called on member countries' governments to openly declare at the upcoming summit in Vilnius that Ukraine will become a member of the Alliance and to agree on certain steps for Ukraine's accession to NATO.

"This is our diplomatic victory. All our key wishes regarding the final text of the declaration have been taken into account," the politician wrote.

Chernev noted that the text of the declaration envisages support for the international tribunal, assistance to Ukraine before and after victory, condemnation of the ideology of ruscism, restoration of territorial integrity, as well as sanctions, reparations and the "Marshall Plan".

"The foundation for the NATO summit in Vilnius has been laid. Parliamentarians of the Alliance countries expressed their position. Now it's up to the governments," summed up the head of the Ukrainian delegation to the NATO PA.

As reported, the NATO summit will be held in Vilnius on July 11-12.
