Stefanchuk met with Sweden's PM to discuss further support for Ukraine

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk discussed with Prime Minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson the continuation of support for Ukraine.

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk wrote this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"During the meeting with Prime Minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson, we discussed Sweden's continued support for Ukraine and our path to EU membership," Stefanchuk said.

Stefanchuk also informed Kristersson about Ukraine's implementation of seven recommendations provided by the European Commission.

In addition, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada noted the special role of the Swedish presidency of the Council of the European Union.

In addition, Stefanchuk thanked the Swedish government for the powerful aid packages for Ukraine.

As Ukrinform reported, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk is on a working visit to the Kingdom of Sweden. He called on the Swedish leadership to consider the possibility of transferring Gripen fighter jets to Ukraine.
