Zelensky congratulates Erdoğan on presidential election win

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has congratulated Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on his victory in Türkiye’s presidential elections and expressed hope for further strengthening of strategic partnership between the two countries.

The relevant statement was made by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on Twitter, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“I congratulate President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on his victory in presidential elections. We expect to further strengthen strategic partnership for the benefit of our countries and enhance cooperation for the security and stability of Europe,” President Zelensky wrote.

With 99.8% of the votes counted, the current President of Türkiye won the elections with 52.14% of the votes.
