Russia retains plans to conquer Ukraine: U.S. reacts to missile attack on Kyiv

Russia's missile attacks on Ukrainian cities and their residents demonstrate that Moscow has not given up on its goal of subjugating Ukraine.

That’s according to U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink, who addressed the issue on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

"Again today, Russia launched ballistic and cruise missiles at Kyiv – a continuation of its daily attacks against people living in Kryvyi Rih, Odesa, and across Ukraine. These missile attacks against cities and their residents demonstrate that Russia has not given up in its aim to subjugate Ukraine and is willing to go to awful lengths to achieve that goal," she tweeted.

Brink emphasized that the United States along with its allies and partners remain “laser-focused” on meeting Ukraine's urgent needs for air defense systems.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, around noon on Friday, Russia launched another missile attack on Ukraine. Ukraine’s aid defense forces downed six Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles, six Kalibr cruise missiles, and two reconnaissance UAVs from the skies around the Ukrainian capital.
