Ukraine, Bangladesh discuss global challenges posed by Russia’s war of aggression
In a phone call, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina Wazed discussed the global challenges posed by Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine.
The relevant statement was made by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Discussed the global challenges posed by Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine. Told about Russia’s war crimes, namely the recent blowing up of Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant. Stressed in a conversation that Ukraine’s victory is crucial for global security,” Shmyhal wrote.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine called for the implementation of the Peace Formula, which had been proposed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
In addition, Shmyhal and Wazed considered providing support for important Ukrainian initiatives, such as the Grain from Ukraine program.
Ukraine remains one of the guarantors of the global food security, and Bangladesh has historically been one of the largest importers of Ukrainian grain. Hence, Shmyhal invited Bangladesh to join this humanitarian program.
According to Shmyhal, Ukraine relies on Bangladesh’s proactive position in providing comprehensive assistance.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine also thanked for the support of Ukrainian initiatives at the UN and expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation between the two countries.
