The adoption of Law No. 0197 was announced on Telegram by Oleksiy Honcharenko, a member of the European Solidarity parliamentary faction, Ukrinform reported.
According to the explanatory note, the decision should ensure the protection of Ukraine's national interests, and help preserve the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Ukrainian state, which are under threat due to the full-scale war unleashed by the Russian Federation with the support of the Republic of Belarus.
The Agreement between Ukraine and the Republic of Belarus on Mutual Protection of State Secrets was signed on February 19, 2004, and ratified by Ukraine on October 19, 2005.
