President enacts NSDC decision on sanctions against 190 individuals, 291 legal entities

President Volodymyr Zelensky enacted the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine to impose sanctions on more than 190 individuals and 291 legal entities.

This is stated in Presidential Decree No. 364/2023 dated July 1 "On the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine dated July 1, 2023 "On the imposition and amendments to personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions)".

The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine is responsible for monitoring the implementation of the NSDC decision.

In particular, sanctions were imposed on the Georgian Airways carrier which resumed flights to Russia; Irina Kostenko, a Russian citizen, a member of the so-called "People's Council of the Donetsk People's Republic"; Tamaz Gaiashvili a citizen of Georgia, the owner of Georgian Airways; legal entities are companies registered, in particular, in Kazakhstan, Belarus, Cyprus, and Georgia.

The decree enters into force on the day of its publication.

As reported, Zelensky called on the European Union to pay more attention to countering Russia's circumvention of sanctions through third countries and to impose restrictions on the Russian nuclear industry in the next, 12th round of sanctions.
