Georgian ambassador to Ukraine will be summoned to Ukrainian Foreign Ministry - Kuleba

Georgia's ambassador to Ukraine will be summoned to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry on July 4 for a tough conversation because of the attitude of the Georgian authorities towards Mikheil Saakashvili.

The ministry said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"The Georgian authorities deserve a tough reaction from Ukraine because of their attitude towards Mikheil Saakashvili. Tomorrow morning, the Georgian ambassador will be at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there will be a tough conversation with him, he will go to Georgia. We believe that Georgia should stop abusing Mikheil Saakashvili and return him to us, as he is a citizen of Ukraine," the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry quoted Kuleba as saying.

On Monday, July 3, Saakashvili attended a court session via video link. He showed how much weight he lost during his hospital stay.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his indignation at the condition of the imprisoned ex-president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, and announced that because of this, Ukraine is asking the Georgian ambassador to return to Tbilisi.
