Stoltenberg, Zelensky discuss preparations for NATO summit

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky have discussed the latest events in Ukraine and preparations for the NATO summit.

Stoltenberg reported this on Twitter, according to Ukrinform.

"Very good conversation with President Zelensky on the latest developments in Ukraine, and our preparations for the NATO Summit," Stoltenberg said.

According to him, in Vilnius, Allies will take decisions to step up support for Ukraine for the long haul, upgrade political ties, and bring the country closer to NATO.

The NATO summit will be held in Vilnius on July 11-12. One of the main issues to be discussed at the summit at the level of heads of state and government will be the continuation of military aid to Ukraine, as well as measures to strengthen the alliance's deterrence and defense system.
