Lithuania presents awards to some Ukrainian high-ranking officials
On the occasion of Statehood Day, President of the Republic of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda has presented about 80 Lithuanian and foreign citizens, including some Ukrainian officials, with orders and medals.
The relevant statement was made by LRT, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
Among the awardees, there were Ukrainian high-ranking government officials and military professionals, such as Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna, and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi.
In particular, the Commander’s Cross of the Order of the Cross of Vytis was awarded to Minister Reznikov, the Officer’s Cross of the Order of the Cross of Vytis – to Commander-in-Chief Zaluzhnyi, the Commander’s Cross of the Order of the Lithuanian Grand Duke Gediminas – to Prime Minister Shmyhal, and the Officer’s Cross of the Order of the Lithuanian Grand Duke Gediminas – to Deputy Prime Minister Stefanishyna.
A reminder that Lithuania marks Statehood Day on July 6.
