Ukraine's president, Portugal's PM discuss preparations for NATO summit
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa have discussed preparations for the NATO summit in Vilnius, the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula, energy and food security, as well as ecocide.
The head of state made a phone call from Turkey where he is on a visit, Ukrinform reports, citing the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian leader.
"We coordinated our positions on the eve of the NATO summit in Vilnius. I emphasized the importance of the Alliance's decisive position regarding Ukraine's future membership. Thank you for your willingness to participate concretely in the implementation of three points of the Ukrainian Peace Formula – food and energy security, and ecocide," Zelensky said.
Zelensky arrived on a visit to Turkey on the evening of July 7.
