Parliament terminates agreement between Ukraine and Russia on joint border control

The Ukrainian parliament has terminated the agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the government of the Russian Federation on cooperation in the joint control of persons, vehicles and goods on the Ukrainian-Russian state border.

MP from the Golos (Voice) party in the Verkhovna Rada Yaroslav Zhelezniak said this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

According to him, the adoption of the relevant law No. 0192 was supported by 263 deputies.

The agreement was suspended due to the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

According to the document, Ukraine must notify Russia of the termination of the agreement through diplomatic channels. The agreement is terminated 6 months after the date of receipt of the notification.

As reported by Ukrinform, on April 10, the Verkhovna Rada terminated the agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Russian Federation on the procedure for crossing the Ukrainian-Russian state border by residents of the border regions of the two countries.
